PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is list of duties and responsibilities in the order of importance with years of experience needed:

- As the program’s data stewards, responsible for maintaining a high level of data integrity within the SAP system
- Example data sustainment processes include:
- Enforcing cross functional and Enterprise practices and discipline across all Army users who participate in the generation of the master data that feeds the SAP system
- Coordinate with the Implementation Team making SAP enhancements to the SAP System, to facilitate effective introduction of changes to the business processes as well as the integration of data ownership and management in the design of the business processes
- Responsible for data quality analysis, to include root cause analysis and establishing quality metrics and evaluation processes
- Responsible for the coordination of data management activities with the Enterprise Data Management Office
- Involved in the data conversion, data cleansing, and data validation processes for all unit fielding
- Develop and maintain documentation and data management guidelines , to include:
- As the program’s data stewards, learning and performing the “power user” or “super user” function for one or more of the following SAP business modules: FI, CO, PS, MM, HR, PM, PP, SD, LE, EHS, WM, QM, BI/BW, and DFPS. This includes:
+ Performing the routine manual data sustainment processes designed by the implementation team (when an automated process has not been developed)
+ Performing root-cause analysis for any data-related errors with an automated data sustainment process

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies Required:

- Thorough knowledge of understanding and execution of all processes within SAP functional modules
- Must have strong skills across several areas of SAP Master Data - Materials, BOMs, Equipment, Workflow, Customer, Finance and Vendor master data
- Must have knowledge and experience in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), software development methodologies and standards
- Excel in analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Supply Chain concepts
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English as well as strong negotiation skills
- Possess creative ability, consulting skills, resource estimating skills, leadership qualities, self-confidence and great teamwork
- Actively bridges technical and business cultures and perspectives to promote cross-organizational collaboration
- Ability to effectively analyze data from multiple data systems (i.e. SAP or another enterprise system such as Oracle)
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to requests and questions from groups of managers, and colleagues
- Ability to read and interpret data, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The successful candidate will be extremely analytical and detailed-oriented

Minimum Qualifications:

- BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related fields is required
- 5+ years Data Analysis and or Architecture experience
- 5+ years hands-on experience with SAP business applications
- 3+ years experience with SAP technical tools (CATT, Query, and mass update transactions)
- Development/configuration experience with SAP ERP modules, SAP XI, ABAP (Interfaces, User Exits and ALE IDOC) preferred
- Supply chain integration experience, including master data communication with external supply chain partners and linkages with internal supply chain applications
- Experience with cleansing, migrating and building the business rules required to load the data into a production database required
- Experience with SAP business applications, analyst, configuration management preferred
- Experience in Master Data, GL, HR, APO, PLM, SCM etc. desirable
- Experience with Implementing Data Quality Controls
