Job Description

Forest City is seeking an experienced SAP FI Solutions Architect to join our Information Technology Organization. The candidate will be responsible for the design and configuration of the SAP FI module in support of an upgrade from ECC 5.0 to 6.0 and recommending solutions within and around SAP FI to standardize and automate processes wherever possible.

This individual will join a team of Solution Architects who work closely with each business unit to leverage existing and new application systems technology to increase efficiencies throughout the company.

Primary responsibilities include:
a. Work with IT and Business Leadership to deliver solutions based on the strategic priorities of the Company.
b. Works with business subject matter experts to ensure requirements are well defined
c. Evaluates, defines, implements, and documents process changes and system configuration through involvement in enterprise process initiatives.
d. Coordinates test plans and supervises business-user testing to ensure proper execution for each process and transactions being validated.
e. Leads and/or supports key projects and initiatives by managing internal and external project resources assigned to specific project areas.
f. Collaborates with other Architects to develop complete design and ensure optimal and ensure solutions identify with IT support groups to provide seamless support to users.
g. Monitors system and process compliance, new entity creation, and master data management; makes recommendations for ongoing efficiencies and/or improvements.
h. Maintain knowledge of SAP solutions through self study, classroom training, and participation in conferences and peer group forums.
i. Provides system maintenance and production support services, when too complex for support organization to handle.
j. Hosts financials user group sessions to increase understanding and promote enterprise process/integration.

Minimum Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of SAP FI/CO configuration experience
Experience in the design, configuration and testing of:
o Core FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR)
o Asset Management
Experience and knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules
Knowledge of basic accounting principles

Experience with Financial Consolidations processes and applications is preferred.
