Associate/Intermediate:
The Shipboard Information Technology (SBIT) Fleet
Support organization within Bechtel Marine Propulsion
Corporation (BMPC) is responsible for the support of all
SBIT software applications for submarines and carriers
in the Fleet. In order to support Fleet work, the ideal
candidate should demonstrate the ability to work in a
dynamic and technically diverse environment with
multiple organizations at different locations. The SBIT
Help Desk Support Systems Analyst position will work
with a team of individuals who interface directly with
the Fleet in support of all SBIT related requests.
Specific areas of responsibility will include the
coordination, tracking and distribution of SBIT issue
resolutions, efficiently and with professionalism;
specifically ensuring necessary processes and procedures
run smoothly to completion. Future job duties may
include: improvement and maintenance of support related
guidance documents and training materials, provide
emergent support to troubleshoot and resolve fleet
issues in a timely manner, SBIT related software and
hardware support, and system troubleshooting. The
candidate must demonstrate the ability to work within a
team environment, exhibit strong organizational skills,
strive for quality of technical work, have a strong
problem solving background, and the desire to solve
fleet support problems. This position will interface
with multiple organizations including other Prime
Contractors, shipyards, and active duty Navy personnel.
The candidate will need to have (or be able to apply
for) a Q clearance level. Emergent support will be
needed to assist fleet problem resolution.
Requirements:
Associate:
BS degree in engineering, science, computer engineering
or related field from an accredited college or
university.
Intermediate:
BS degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Engineering
or related field from an accredited college or
university and a minimum of two years of relevant
experience based on exceptional performance trend; or
MS degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Engineering
from an accredited college or university.
