BRIEF POSTING DESCRIPTION:

Business Continuity Planner should have experience in performing one or more areas of Continuity of Government, Continuity of Operations, Information Technology Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning, Crisis Management, Information Security/Operations, Continuity Strategic Planning and Policy, Enterprise Risk Management, and participation in national level homeland security or continuity of operations exercises. Certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) or a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) desired. Security Clearance Requirement:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

- Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Support Customer sustainment and development of a Mission Assurance program supporting and enhancing Customer resilience. The Business Continuity Planner will develop the Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) assigning contract resources with metrics that deliver and sustain an integrated compliant Mission Assurance program. Develop and implement multi
-year strategic management plan in support of Continuity of Operations, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Defense Critical Infrastructure Protection, and risk management. Identify compliance elements and provide insight into Customer and industry best practices. Support development of POA&M assigning contract resources with metrics toward improving on the Annual Continuity Assessment. Additionally, support preparation of an Annual Continuity Certification Report. Maintain a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to include a monthly Current Program Assessment reflecting status of program strength and planning review. Maintain the integrated change management and implementation schedule. Business Continuity Planner must provide system, subject matter expertise and management of Continuity Planning Tool to include periodic C&A validation, ITDR, planning, FISMA requirements tracking, and system documentation and training.

- Expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Experience to independently plan, execute and report on tasks as identified by the Customer
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work in a team environment
- Able to develop high

Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3
-6 years of relevant work experience. The Business Continuity Planners will require an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certification or higher from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) or other equivalent industry standard certification for continuity planning.
