Adecco is assisting a local Church to find a Secretary. They are seeking an energetic, hardworking, service-oriented administrative professional to organize and coordinate office operations and procedures, in order to ensure communication with the church body, organizational effectiveness, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a church and community of diverse people.

*Manage incoming phone lines; including answering the phone with appropriate dialogue, directing the call to the appropriate party, and providing knowledgeable information regarding current and upcoming events and services.
*Ensure general office area is kept orderly, clean, and welcoming to members and visitors.
*Greet members and visitors with a smile and provide general support.
*Demonstrates exceptional customer service.
*Get to know the people and needs of this Church Congregation.
*Ensure the administrative functions of the office operate smoothly.
*Complete daily tasks/projects in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
*Update and maintain database to track attendance and correspondence with members and visitors and keep updated contact information.
*Create a bi-annual church directory.
*Generate and email reports to the appropriate parties.
*Ability to organize calendar events, appointments, building use and ministry schedules with ease.
*Create and distribute monthly schedules and weekly reminders of worship servants.
*Manage Elmwood¿s website by updating online calendars and information as needed.
*Triage email and respond to requests in a timely manner.
*Send group emails concerning family news as necessary.
*Edit articles and produce a weekly newsletter for mailing and emailing and a worship program that effectively communicates the prayer requests and goings-on of the church body.
*Assists in the coordination of strategic projects of various ministries, as warranted.
*Flexible in schedule; including willingness to respond to emergency emails and situations.
*Serve as the point person for maintenance, mailing, ordering office supplies, and errands.
*Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.
*Organize office operations and procedures.
*Manage office budget, ensure accurate and timely reporting of expenses.
*Must have a positive demeanor, as well as the ability to say no when necessary.
*Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
*Strong computer skills: i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign & Photoshop, Audio Editing, and Website Edits
*Positive, friendly and supportive attitude.
*Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize work, adherence to Elmwood policies, programs and work rules.
*Highly motivated, self-directed and results driven.
*Background check required.

This Church Secretary position will work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with one hour lunch. Pay is $12.00/hour.
