General Overview
The Research Information Systems & Computing (RISC) group of Partners Healthcare is looking for a Senior Project Specialist to be a key member of the RPDR (Research Patient Data Registry) team. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly qualified individual who demonstrates great attention to detail and can work as part of a small, but very efficient group. This position will report directly to the Corporate Manager and will be working closely with other analysts, developers and research based teams.
The Senior Project Specialist is responsible for the project management and integration of new data feeds as well as new tools developed for the Partners research community within the RPDR (Research Patient Data Registry) Environment.
In this role, the incumbent will work alongside the RPDR technical and operations teams, as well as the RPDR user community, to develop solutions that meet the needs of medical researchers while also easily integrating into the existing RPDR environment. The position will report into the Corporate Manager of the RPDR, but will be largely self directed. It will require a candidate who is self motivated, can learn the environment quickly, can independently manage project timelines and meet milestones, and is willing to take on responsibility for most aspects of data integration and implementation, including creating and developing user workflow frameworks, providing input for programmatic solutions, providing input in developing user interfaces, working with end users (if needed), and help to manage the backend processes needed to support the integration feeds and/or tools.

Responsibilities

In this capacity, the incumbent will work closely with the Corporate Manager and Technical Lead(s) of the RPDR to identify the scope of each project and determine goals and initial requirements. Once the project direction has been laid out, the incumbent will be expected to manage the process with minimal guidance, from specification gathering through deployment. Specifically, this includes producing a detailed project plan, developing the underlying data components, testing the solution, and working alongside the existing RPDR technical and operational teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation within the existing RPDR workflows.
The candidate should have prior experience working with clinical data, creating specifications, managing processes, working with customers, building consensus and should have an understanding of healthcare data delivery. Perform application testing as necessary.
Collaborate with RPDR technical and operational teams to deploy and validate that the tools are working properly.
Provide post-implementation and on-going tool support.
