Job Description
Summary:
The Hyatt Place Riverside Downtown is currently seeking a SMERFE Sales Manager. The SMERFE Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving set goals for the SMERFE Room Revenue segment as well as soliciting and servicing of all Meeting Space and Catering sales aside from LNRKNR and Government.
Outlined Key Responsibilities:
Outside sales solicitation to book, plan and coordinate meetingsfunctions while maximizing the banquet space to meetexceed sales goals and room revenue for the SMERFE Segment.
Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through outside sales calls, with some supporting inside sales activities (telemarketing, mailings, networking, etc...) while maximizing banquet space for SMERFE Segment.
Execute a territorial marketing strategy to achieveexceed sales goals Plan, up-sell and detail the meetingfunction with the client including: space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themesdecorations, etc...
Complete the contracts, prepare the appropriate paperwork, coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel, resolve customer issues, complaints and problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Prepare status and period end reports to keep management abreast of activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporatehotel procedures and products and the competitions product, strengths and weaknesses to continually improve sales strategies and the achievement of goals.
Travel may be required at times.
