Nesco Resource is currently recruiting for a SMT Programmer for our client in Tucson, AZ

LOCATION: Tucson, Arizona

DURATION: Direct opportunity for SMT PROGRAMMER

SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision this role involves close coordination with SMT Operators and SMT Process Engineers to insure all Surface Mount lines are functioning to its capacity to keep the manufacturing facility running.

Provide equipment programming support for;

SMT Placement Equipment
*

SMT Epoxy Dispensing
*

SMT Paste Printing
*

AOI Inspection Systems

Assist in data collect and analysis to improve system performance and reduce down time and scrap.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

*

Work with current support staff to implement inventory control and tracking module in current AMS software.
*

Work with other functional groups to develop and maintain inventory control and tracking systems for automated processes to improve inventory accuracy and reduce frequency of cycle counts
*

Evaluate component commonality to determine the number and size of common setups.
*

Determine board groups/families for each set-up
*

Determine feeder requirements required for common set-ups
*

Generate new "Golden" programs to utilize common set-ups and reduce variation in program parameters caused by uncontrolled tweaks.
*

Work with engineering, scheduling and feeder set-up departments to implement new common set-ups and validate new programs.
*

Develop methodology to control, log and validate program changes.
*

Develop all new programs for NPI efforts and revise common set-ups as required to maintain system performance and efficiencies.
*

Work with process support to review current program performance (vision, component library and placement data) until new programs are validated.
*

Work with process support groups to monitor system performance and assist in establishing calibration and maintenance schedules to insure consistent system performance.
*

Assist in evaluation and validation of new SMT equipment and software.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

3+ years' experience programming manufacturing equipment (Pick and Place programming preferred)

3+ years' experience with database development desired (Access, SQL, etc.)

Basic level of software design and development experience desired (C+ or other)

Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel

Strong record of successful problem solving

CAD experience desired

Geometric dimension and tolerance

Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Development software and Database software.
