Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION(S) Author JCIDS documents for GPS User Equipment, including requirements for Modernized User Equipment (MUE) and Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE) with the Common GPS Module (CGM). Assess supporting architectures for validated requirements. Provide direct support to Analysis of Alternative (AOA) actions for the GPS Enterprise. Prepare background papers, supporting documentation, and technical reports for the PNT/GPS Capability Team (CT). Evaluate master program schedules and CT ops tempo synchronization across GPS sub-systems, with specific emphasis on UE/MUE/MGUE. Maintain daily Customer contact to ensure overarching technical objectives are exceeded. Support the delivery of Customer products guiding Joint warfighter application of PNT systems and sub-systems progressing through requirements, acquisition & fielding, and operations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Technical authorship of PNT Capability Team (CT) requirements, acquisition, and operating documents with specific expertise for UE/MUE/MGUE; insight to SV & OCS/OCX segments considered a plus :
Evaluate and develop program schedules to integrate PNT CT ops tempo for the various GPS subsystems/segments, mainly UE/MUE/MGUE with consideration for SV & OCS/OCX actions :
Provide senior-level engagement planning for OSD/Joint/AF leadership events driving PNT/GPS (UE/MUE/MGUE) decisions through Customer meetings, conferences, VTC, and/or travel :
Oversee and execute technical review of large PNT/GPS analytical efforts to ensure final versions exceed Customer expectations :
Maintain daily direct interface with various Customer planning systems and operational tools supporting the PNT/GPS mission MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
10 or more years in DOD-related functions, with at least 5 years recent AFSPC experience:
Extensive background in technical editing, coordination, and product delivery:
Current experience with JCIDS requirements development and the associated AFROC/JROC process:
Master of Science degree or higher:
TS security clearance with eligibility for SCI/SAP PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
8 or more years GPS experience with HQ AFSPC/A5 requirements directorate :
5 or more years requirements expertise with the GPS UE/MUE/MGUE acquisition :

Primary duty location is Peterson AFB, CO:
