Job Description
Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans.
Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing. Details analysis and review of product specifications (e.g. product requirements specifications, system, functional and design specifications) to ensure product quality, safety, reliability, and testability. * Generates, distributes, maintains and implements the project Verification and Validation Test Plan: helps manage and drive test schedule and related activities. * Develops and document test procedures for effective test cases.
* Executes test procedures in an efficient and timely manner. * Identifies and documents encountered defects. * Works closely with other testers and developers to coordinate test efforts and to resolve issues. * Performs hands-on installation and configuration of HW and SW components for the V&V environment.

Job Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering 5+ years of SW test experience in a client server and Microsoft Windows environment. Experience testing complex systems, in a client server environment as well as control systems is a plus. Knowledge of FDA QSR and experience with testing medical devices is a plus. Experience with a defect tracking system (e.g. Rational Clear Quest). Experience with Test Management System (e.g. Quality Center). Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
