OVERVIEWProvide ongoing support in the management of Safety throughout Bunge North America (BNA) in our pursuit of a zero-incident culture. The successful candidate will collaborate with the businesses to develop and implement safety programs. Bunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Working within a matrix organization of 5 Business Units in North America, collaborate with the BNA business units in the ongoing management of organization safety programs. Provide support in the development of a proactive safety culture to ensure a safe, healthy and zero-incident work environment. • Work with our internal reporting systems to track injuries and equipment damage events throughout BNA. Reach out to businesses to support safety investigations and prevention of incidents.• Develop and/or conduct safety training programs, including Confined Space Entry, Lockout/Tagout & Isolation, Electrical Safety and others. Work with training databases to ensure internal end-user accessibility and consistent updates are in place.• Prepare studies and analyses of incident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel. • Collaborate in the review of Safety Management System assessments and provide recommendations on consistent implementation of safety policies and practices. • Assist with conducting facility safety audits.• Support BNA Safety Director and Businesses in Root Cause Analysis for major safety incidents throught BNA.• Work with the businesses to ensure effective corrective action closure and information sharing across locations takes place.• Review safety policies and procedures and make recommendations to ensure compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations in the US and Canada.• Support the Loss Prevention Control inspection process, with emphasis on fire prevention and fire protection equipment. • Provide support in the implementation of Process Safety Management programs at locations with solvents, hydrogen, ammonia, and chlorine. • Share best practices and provide ongoing support to locations with deployment of peer to peer behavior based safety efforts. • Support location oversight of contractor safety efforts to ensure contractors share the Bunge value for safety• May perform additional safety duties as needed, including participating in acquisition due diligence and following up on capital planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety or related field.• 3 to 5 years of safety experience, ASP/CSP preferred• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong facilitation/presentation skills with the ability to influence othersTravel Requirements: Variable – typically 20-30%, but at times up to 50%
