Revolution Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Specialist with a top five automobile manufacturer in Farmington Hills, MI.

JOB SUMMARY:

Develops and maintains safety /IH / ergonomics programs. Provides guidance and support to R&D locations on Safety and Health related topics. Develops tools and training to prevent or minimize work-related injuries, and to maintain a safe work environment at Nissan. Uses ergonomic guidelines to address current injury concerns and future model planning. Provides Industrial Hygiene activities such as air and noise sampling, and monitors results to ensure a healthful working environment.

JOB FUNCTION:

Investigate industrial accidents, injuries (including cumulative trauma), and occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
Review current safety programs to determine their adequacy and update program to fit R working knowledge of the company processes.
-Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing safety/IH/ergonomic programs
-Demonstrated experience in leading/working with cross-functional teams on successfully implementing safety programs and processes.
-Minimum of 3 years of related experience at a professional level required.
-B.S. Degree in Engineering or Safety or Ergonomics or related field with a minimum of 3 plus years of experience in ergonomics/safety.
-M.S. Degree in the above discipline is preferred but not required.
-Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Certification in CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is preferred.
-Position will require the flexibility to work night shift if needed
- Position will require travel to other locations.

Skills Matrix:
Bachelors degree required - in safety would be good Required
Masters degree would be preferred Highly desired
Certification in CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is preferred. Highly desired
3 years minimum experience Required
Familiar with safety standards/regulatory requirements - hands on - working documents writing procedures - police environment and adhering to practice Required
Able to collaborate and work with facility staff, engineering groups, management teams Required
