GENERAL DEFINITION

The Sales and Account Manager will lead business development. S/he will work closely with the Product Lead in defining the citizen participation platform, based on customer feedback and market research. The Sales & Account Manager will develop and execute the go-to-market strategy. S/he is ultimately responsible for (a) growing revenues and (b) Growing client base. The Sales Manager will be reporting to the CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

_Sales_

* Develop and execute the sales and business development strategy
* Develop new customer relationships quickly and effectively
* Actively pursue opportunities, taking responsibility for winning the business and maximizing its commercial success
* Engage with political candidates, campaign managers, NGO's and other public interest organizations, starting with the US and growing abroad
* Close deals with customers and partners and manage the accounts
* Work with Product Manager in defining the pricing strategy
* Define the sales strategy and manage the process of growing into new markets
* Develop product sales presentations and marketing material
* Work closely with the Product Manager and Technology Manager to design targeted demos for customers
* Identify new channels to bring on more users and lead the development and success of these channels

* Define required product features through discussions potential customers and market research
* Work closely with the Product Manager and Technology Manager to design demos for customers

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Experience in a political campaigning, activism and/or working with NGO's
* Passionate about democracy and citizen participation & engagement
* 3-4 years minimum direct experience with business development/sales of technology products/services to politicians, NGOs and public interest organizations
* Strong technical background, able to understand the capabilities of our technology and design high-level solutions for potential customers and partners
* Experience in sales and/or leadership efforts at a startup company
* Experience in selling mobile and/or web destination products
* Proven experience in getting contracts and deals signed
* Ability and willingess to travel frequently
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills
* Fluent in spoken and written English
* Established contacts and relationships with potential customers
* Minimum Bachelor's degree. Preffered degree in Computer Science (or related field) with a Master's degree in Politics, Public Administration (or related field) OR vice versa
