The beautiful Holiday Inn College Park which is managed by Chesapeake Hospitality is looking to hire an outgoing and detail - oriented Sales Coordinator to support the sales team in booking and organizing group business. By working at this hotel, you will be part the Holiday Inn College Park and the Chesapeake Hospitality family of employees. The Sales Coordinator is responsible for answering phone calls for potential business and providing leads to the Directors of Sales and Sales Managers. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sales Coordinator is responsible but not limited to performing the following tasks: Answer phones with an upbeat and engaging energy. Qualify guests looking to book an event either in person or on the phone. Report all business leads to the Sales team. Notify/coordinate customer specifications with other departments and quickly, efficiently respond to customer issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects. Maintain accurate, legible records and files. Follow up with groups after their events. QUALIFICATIONS: Exceptional communications skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests. Knowledge of sales/hospitality principles and practices. Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. Ability to demonstrate outstanding leadership skills as well as impeccable associate and customer relations. Ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures. At least 1 full year of employment in a hotel position. Proficient in Microsoft Office A 4-year college degree or equivalent education/experience preferred. (ref. 17960)
