Job Description
Job Summary
The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for producing reports as requested by Sales Operations. The Sales Operations Specialist ensures report data is accurate and increases the awareness of performance to stakeholders.
The primary duties includes supportoring District analysis and forecasting while researching and correcting data inconsistences to ensure data accuracy. The Sales Operations Specialist also supports field sales communicaitons and monitors processes and procedures while consolidating district reports.
Other Duties
- Compares data from previous and current reports to anticipate questions from requestors regarding the validity of data.
- Reviews formulas to determine whether data is accurately captured.
- Provides feedback to Sales Operations Supervisor regarding process or data errors discovered for correction.
- Conducts meetings with stakeholders to discuss data findings and to obtain feedback.
- Provides analysis on process and procedure usage at the field level.
- Makes recommendations on how to improve field sales usage.
- Provides sales performance reports as needed to support decision making.
- Develops presentations as requested to support Sales Operations.
- Consolidates and reports field feedback on needed improvements as appropriate.
- Schedules reports to ensure the execution and delivery of reports occurs in a timely manner.
- Utilize various software applications, sales tools and data sources to fulfill the report development and analysis requirements.
- Provide data analysis on all reports, including sales initiatives and sales performance.
- Identify and prioritize the processes and procedures to achieve accuracy and timeliness of all reports.
- Provide periodic sales reports and analysis as requested, to facilitate decision-making.
- Participate in database projects to enhance sales force visibility and productivity.
- Act as the Business Development subject matter expert for DWH, BIA and TEAMS and provide data management advisory services to Country/District sales reporting resources.
- DWB/BIA/TEAMS:
Provide on-going training & Coaching to sales support staff; communicate news and updates; investigate, research and resolve data discrepancies and user issues; troubleshoot; perform user acceptance testing prior to launch of Corporate initiatives.
Preferred Competencies
- Demonstrates ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software, and/or writing basic queries with guidance from others; identifies information required to complete reports; identifies existing reports generated by others.
- Manages details learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; supplies appropriate details when responding to questions; maintains organized files.
- Solicits and gathers information, demonstrates a general understanding of the purpose of specific information gathering techniques for soliciting and gathering appropriate information; conducts interviews with respondents who have already been identified, using predefined questions or protocols with supervision; captures notes while gathering information from others.
- Synthesizes information, demonstrates a general understanding of various sources of information or data that are relevant to a problem and possible strategies for integrating this information; any work performed requiring integrating or summarizing data is closely supervised. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., and alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
- Must have experience using advanced Access and Excel functionalities, (e.g., Pivot tables, V-look ups, database creation/maintenance, etc.
- Must have experience creating and automating reports and databases, using internal reporting systems, CRM and web-based applications will managing large quanities of data while using multiple databases and tables.
- Enhanced computer skills (e.g. Visual Basic) is preferred.
