JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY: The Sales Leader for North America is responsible for leading and developing the regional sales to achieve business goals and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction. In addition, this position is responsible for promoting and forecasting regional revenue and strengthening relationships with current accounts and developing new accounts and distribution channels.

This position will be based out of Akron, Ohio.

Alpha Technologies, a Roper company, is the world leader in the design, manufacture, service and support of precision rubber and polymer laboratory instrumentation and data acquisition/analysis softwaresystems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets by maintaining and expanding customer base
*

Lead and support regional sales team to achieve revenue goals

* Utilize team selling approach to emphasize product/service solutions and values

*

Maintain intimate product knowledge to influence purchasing decisions within customer organization
*

Analyze competitive market data to identify trends/opportunities and coordinate with global sales/marketing organization
*

Work with leadership to design and implement short and long-term regional strategies
*

Identify potential new strategic business opportunities
*

Develop and maintain pipeline of business utilizing CRM system to ensure that there is sufficient level of new prospects to support growth objectives
*

Ensure regional sales organization is in full compliance with all US and local laws and regulations
*

Recruit, develop and lead an effective sales, marketing and service team in region and provide constructive feedback through performance and development processes
*

Measure and report direct sales and sales channel productivities through effective utilization of the CRM tool
*

Provide accurate and timely regional sales forecasts of expected business results
*

Coordinate and provide regional training activities
*

Report and evaluate sales agent performance and commission plans
*

Support regional collection activities
*

Identify and recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential
*

Work collaboratively with leadership and HR to establish and implement an effective succession plan for team

* Participate in industry events to promote company products and services

*

Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective and existing customers

EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE - QUALIFICATIONS

*

Bachelor's degreerequired, technical degreepreferred
*

MBA preferred
*

7+ years sales and account management experience required
*

Prior managerial experience required
*

Capital equipment and/or rubber sales experience required
*

International sales experience preferred
*

Strong negotiation and communication skills required
*

Must be results focused
*

Must be willing to travel
*

Ability to coach and develop team members
*

Strategic vision, critical thinking, and analytical skills required
