Job Description
A high school diploma or equivalent education is required. A Bachelors Degree is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years in hotel sales is required. Individual must be knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Windows software package (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to learn account management and reservation software systems (Specific OnQ and Sales and Events experience is a plus). Manager will possess organizational skills to manage several tasks at once; maintain proper accountclient follow up; traincoachcounsel coordinator as appropriate; able to resolve practical challenges; able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram andor schedule form; andor deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
The position requires a high-energy; extrovert personality; coupled with great command of the oralwritten English language; a great phone voice and dynamic presence to manage a specific business mix within an active sales environment.
This individual will represent the hotel in the local community, industry organizations and events both locally and throughout the world in business travel. At all times, the manager must be aware that their dress, demeanor and character display are representative of the hotel.
Due to the nature of the business, managers may be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the hotel, including but not limited to, extended hours during the business week, weekends, holidays andor business travel.
This position is required to meetexceed revenue goals in, but limited to, the areas of rooms, meeting room rental and other resources as assigned.
