Candidate needed whose sole responsibility will be to focus on LNR and CNR in order to gain new business for the hotel and maintain these business relationships; This candidate should be well versed in OnQ Solicitation Management and understand the Buffalo market with a specific focus on downtown businesses and the medical campus; The qualified candidate should be familiar with TravelClick/Hotelligence and should be able to utilize these reports daily to assist in booking new business; The Sales Manager should expect to be out of the office several days a week ensuring our clients are well taken care of. Other responsibilities include: Researching, creating, developing and contracting new business retention and expansion of current business base. i.e. state association, local corporate, tour and SMERF. Establish a relationship with clients through personal calls, phone calls, promotions and entertainment (on and off property). Make sales calls and presentations to key accounts in key feeder cities and LNR accounts in local markets. Maintain understanding and awareness of profitability of group prospects. Analyzing group needs and weighing those with respect of maximizing revenue to resort. REQUIREMENTS Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prompt and reliable, strong organizational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, self-motivated ability to handle multiple tasks, public speaking skills, flexibility. Must have appropriate professional attitude and appearance. Experience working with Hilton brands is a plus! SalesPro Sales System experience preferred. The candidate must be proactive and prospect new business, negotiate contracts and close deal Effectively selling and making outside sales calls. Active in the community. Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients. Attend and represent hotel at trade shows and conventions and /or participate in sales trips to key feeder markets. Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company. Experience with Social and Wedding market preferred.
