Guest Services: Responds promptly to all inquiries, lead referrals, and existing clients in a timely manner, resulting in documentation of all communication Expected to increase revenues and client base through direct personal sales, telemarketing, cold calling, inquiries, lead referrals, maintaining and expanding current account base, networking and continuous marketing and promotion Monitors room blocks & pick-ups for all groups through rooming lists and cut-off dates for all bookings Conduct site visits of the facility, including meeting spaces and sleeping rooms At the discretion of the Director, and the demands of the event, be prepared to attend events needing assistance and that you assisted with to assure client satisfaction Plan all aspects of the events including food and beverage, décor, AV, set-up, and tear down Responsible for following up after events (i.e., client surveys, billing, thank you letters, guest recovery, etc.) Administrative Tasks: Management of Personal Account base and Event Calendar Attends daily and weekly sales/revenue meetings Reviews and understands hotels marketing plan and goals Creates quarterly action plans and goals and properly tracks them with results Advise Director of event trends, scheduling concerns, special group requirements, guest complaints, sales opportunities and quality issues in a timely manner Provide input regarding revenue forecasts, budgeting, menus, packages, industry trends, marketing, advertising, and programs Ensure effective fiscal management of all budgetary elements related to the Sales Manager function Works with reservations department to properly ensure the implementation of all group room blocks and local negotiated rate agreements Conducts quarterly sales blitzes to increase rooms and/or catering revenues towards an identified market segment
