Looking for a Sales Manager that is passionate about developing new business and fostering relationships through direct sales. Market: SMERF, Corporate Transient and Group, Meeting Room Weekly Quotas : 25 Prospecting/Telemarketing calls, 14 Outside Sales Appointments, 2 Site Tours, and 2 Lunches. Assist the Director of Sales with the marketing plan to achieve the highest possible occupancy rate and average daily rate. Establish and maintain close contact with top accounts and target accounts, through phone calls, tours, appointments, correspondence and entertainment. Network with prospects to uncover other decision makers. Communicate to and coordinate with the other hotel departments and personnel all sales information necessary for professional execution of commitments. Maintain accurate sales files and trace systems of Top and Target accounts. Qualify leads and prospects gained from cold calls, sales blitzes, National Sales Office and other sources. Qualify in-house guests by attending evening hospitality hour events and morning breakfast. Complete weekly sales reports and submit to Director of Sales and General Manager. Establish marketing plan with sales team. Perform sales tasks and goals as outlined in the marketing plan. Attend and participate in weekly sales meetings, as well as training seminars and other meetings, as requested by the General Manager. Handle and book all meeting room requests. Provide each department with the necessary information in regards to set-up, services needed, and billing procedures. Maintain good rapport with clients. Work closely with other departments to coordinate details, special requests and VIP packages. Develop and maintain rapport with competitor hotels, City Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, lead sources and clients. Participate in community activities, employee functions and guest events.
