Location The Westin South Coast Plaza is a 393 room hotel with 27 meeting and banquet spaces that can accommodate groups of up to 900. South Coast Plaza, with over 280 of the world's great retail stores, is located across the "Unity" pedestrian bridge from the hotel. Department Job Description The Group Sales Manager is a key sales position, responsible for driving group revenue into the hotel. In this role you will develop relationships with key contacts in order to meet or exceed revenue goals. He/she will participate in sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings, contract preparation and daily business review meetings. The ideal candidate will be responsible in developing and maintaining knowledge of market trends, competition and customers. Candidates may be called upon to work extended workweeks, including weekends, to accommodate a client's needs as well as any functions they are overseeing. This position reports to the Associate Director of Sales and is held accountable and incentivized for quarterly sales goals. Requirements The Westin South Coast Plaza is seeking associates, who are inspired to be their best, individuals who provide an experience for our guests and teammates that are personal, instinctive and renewing. Our ideal candidates will posses a minimum of 2-3 years of hotel sales experience, which a proven track record of increased revenue production.
