POSITION TITLE: Sales Manager
COMPENSATION: $100K - $120K base salary + bonus
BENEFITS: Standard package
LOCATION: Houston, TX
SUMMARY: Manages the sale of products and services in a specified market or other geographic area through assigned sales associates. Supports the sales activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises associates in the market sales/operations function.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Meet market customer needs through appropriate product mix.
Develop sales plans to penetrate assigned markets.
Coordinate market lead generation with marketing
Monitor and ensure proper follow up of new accounts
Ensure proper product offering
Manage and approve market pricing
Oversee national and non-national contract compliance within the market
Manage market customer relationships
Support billing and collections as required
Oversee contract renewal for assigned accounts in the market
Manage customer expectations and requirements
Ensure appropriate technical skills availability to serve customers within the market
Ensure effective sales relationship training for CSM and telemarketing staff
Review and provide input on inventory levels, capital expenditures and return on assets
Manage market sales expense budgets
Develop market pricing guidelines consistent with market opportunities
Ensure effective communication of pricing guidelines
Oversee pricing strategy for customers in the market
Develop profitable services in the market
Develop appropriate pricing for services
Ensure proper resources availability and training to serve customers in the market
Oversee service contracts in the market
Identify high potential talent, determine training needs and allocate resources appropriately.
Develop/establish motivating work environment
Ensure successful regional planning
Reinforce corporate culture
Reward high performance through established incentive program
Forecast and develop market budgets.
Monitor actual market performance
Provide monthly/quarterly performance reports
Review market staff performance reports
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or
10+ years related experience and/or training; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of the Internet
