SUMMARY: The Sales Manager prospects, solicits and secures social, convention, and corporate functions to generate revenues for the event center, banquets, and hotel. The Sales Manager communicates and coordinates group and catering details to ensure the smooth execution of all conferences, functions, and social events that require food and beverage, and/or hotel group blocks. Must portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel and live the mission of providing exceptional service at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Proactively target clients for the purpose of generating catering and room revenues for Apache Casino Hotel and maintain strong relationships with all clientele to maximize potential for repeat business. Finalize food, beverage and meeting room set-up requirements and complete BEO. Review with F&B Banquet Manager and email any updates and/or changes. Finalize all BEOs and confirm all details with guests. Be aware of the forecast and budget and where we need to fill business into open times. Be profit minded. Maintain communication with the Banquet Manager, F&B, Hotel, Marketing, and Sales Team. Recommend and identify new ideas, methods and markets. Follow up with contact after each function to ensure satisfaction and create an after action report. Follow proper billing procedures including credit checks, invoices, and collections. Prepare annual sales plan and quarterly sales strategy reports with Director of Hotel Operations and Director of Marketing. Conduct regular site tours. Comply with hotel uniform and professional behavior and appearance standards when representing the hotel on and off property. Cultivate and source leads through research, cold calls, direct sales and networking. Create and submit sales reports, cancel reports, lost sales at the weekly sales meeting. Actively participate in preapproved local civic groups and build relationships to further business development. Attend and actively participates in preapproved Chamber Committees and functions including, but not limited to chamber ribbon cuttings and business after hours. Coordinate efforts with Marketing Department and attend specified Casino functions. Proactively seek/educate oneself with current trends in the marketplace relating to social media, events, and creative concepts to implement.
