Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



Understands and supports the Company s mission statement.

Understands and supports the Company s Teamwork System as applied to the job position.

Understands and adheres to the Company s 5S program as applied to the job position.

Understands and adheres to the Company s Environmental Management System as applied to the job position.

Understands and adheres to the Company s safety plan as applied to the job position.

Understands and adheres to the provisions of the Company s employee handbook.

Responsible for submitting yearly sales plan to General Manager along with reevaluations to same as required.

Responsible for Sales and Marketing report as required

Responsible for Territory Managers yearly performance and compensation reviews, or as required

Responsible for Customer Service Manager s yearly performance and compensation review, or as Required

Along with Customer Service Manager, responsible for customer service yearly performance and compensation reviews, or as required

Along with the General Manager, responsible for hiring candidates to fill sales positions

Along with the General Manager, responsible for negotiating prices and contracts with customers in accordance with Rules of D.A.

Maintain relationships and entertain accounts

Maintain a current understanding of supply and demand forces in our industry

Direct Territory Managers to achieve or exceed monthly or yearly goals and objectives

Responsible to plan and lead sales meetings as required

Prepare reports to General Manager as directed

Along with General Manger, direct associates as required

Comply with rules of Delegation of Authority

Perform other duties as directed by the General Manager



QUALIFICATIONS:

B.A. or B.S. required

Minimum 10 years of Sales / Sales Management experience. Steel Service Center preferred



REQUIREMENTS:

Goal Oriented

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to build solid relationships with customers

Ability to travel overnight

Ability to work flexible hours
