The following job description pertains to the Sales Manager at the Clarion Inn of Pocatello, ID. The Clarion Inn offers 196 guest rooms with 8500 sq ft of meeting and banquet space. Job Summary: The Job of the Sales Manager is to sell the Clarion Inn and its services within the guidelines established by the hotel, sales, marketing and business plan in order to meet and exceed budgeted room night sales and revenue goals. Assists the Team in taking care of the Guests Every Visit, Every Day to provide Absolute Guest Satisfaction. You may also be required to do other duties as assigned that may not be listed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities ' of Time Account Management and New Business Development Responsible for overseeing the retention and acquisition of accounts by growing existing accounts and generating new business to a level that meets or exceeds sales forecasts. Executes all aspects of the sales and marketing plans to surpass revenue goals. This includes making outside sales calls and cold calls while maintaining relationships with current accounts. Builds and maintains relationships with key clients. Creates and solicits new business through innovative means. Maintain active and inactive files in Caterease through tracking of all interactions with current, potential, and past clients. Maintain and Develop LNRs, RFPs, and Group Bookings 60' Marketing Maintain Facebook and Other social networking sites Conduct regular internet and comp set research for potential leads, lost business, and missed opportunities. Work with DOS to create marketing campaigns, advertising and promotions Create and develop annual and season packages, working with local vendors for added value Conduct hotel tours and entertain qualified potential clients, entertaining off property must be approved via DOS. 20' Guest Service Offer guests assistance whenever possible. Responsible for resolving escalated customer relations issues. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services. Must appropriately address guest requests to ensure customers are satisfied with the hotels services and accommodations. Responsible for positively representing and promoting the property. Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security. Maintain correspondence with all potential clients through periodic greeting cards, proposals, brochures, follow up letters. Following up on sales calls within 48 hours with either a thank you or requested information. Set and meet weekly sales call goals to both maintain relationships with top accounts and to prospect for new business. OnGoing Financial and Marketing Business Analysis Prepares the yearly and quarterly Sales and Marketing budgets as well as the annual marketing plan. Responsible for revenue forecasting. Develops business plans as needed. Oversees advertising and marketing campaigns for the hotel. Works with General Manager to analyze sales and marketing reports.
