The Sales Manager for Eldorado Hotel & Spa will serve as the hotel representative for the New Mexico and East Coast markets to prospective clients and customers who need to guest rooms, meeting space, food and beverage service, etc. Responds to sales inquiries, initiates new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients, entertains clients, conducts site visits and answers questions, determines rates, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, services accounts and analyzes lost business for the hotel/s. Develops sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals. Works with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sells at least 85' of the time Maintains appropriate balance of account maintenance and prospecting for new business Establishes and maintains effective and profitable relationships with customers Responsible for achieving both assigned market room revenue budget along with top-line revenue goals for the hotel. Assists with hotel specific goals/strategies in assigned territory for positive growth and impact revenues Familiar with hotels competitive set and shared accounts Generates data, analyzes and recommends strategies and actions within territory to impact market Communicates a clear sense of strategic direction and goals for assigned territories/markets Incorporates marketing strategies into sales strategies where needed for assigned territories/markets Communicates trends, change in market mix with sales team Organizes and conducts sales trips to assigned market specific trade shows Keeps up with industry trends and seeks creative sales techniques to specific markets/accounts
