Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Sales amp; Marketing Coordinator with at least 1 year experience in a hotel environment. Our ideal candidate will be organized, have excellent communication skills and be able to multi task and prioritize. This position supports our Sales and Catering team and will thrive in a fast paced environment.

br The Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel Tempe has 210 guest rooms and over 10,000 sq.ft. of meeting space, making it the ideal choice for corporate and government meetings.
br
br Major Function:
br Support DOSM, Sales Managers, Catering Sales, Conference Services and Revenue Management in their daily operations. The coordinator is the primary contact person for the department and is responsible for internal and external communications.
br
br Duties amp; Responsibilities:
br Answer Sales Phones (Sales, Marketing, Catering, Conference Services and Revenue Management)
br Lead Catcher Distribute leads through Lead Management systems to sales managers based on segmentation
br Responsible for VIP Reservations (Galaxy)
br Support DOSM with PR, Media inquiries
br Conduct Site Inspections (Pop-ups) and Assists the Sales department with monthly luncheons, client events, etc.
br Delphi Management (Contracts, resumes, Proposals, Booking Audits, Source Management)
br Input reservation and rooming lists in a timely manner for transient and groups
br Build Star group Pages and Web links (Reservation Links) with Field Marketing Support
br Design marketing material as directed by DOSM (Flyers, eBlast, Posters, etc. ) for hotel, catering and Famp;B outlets as required
br Assists Conference Services with Event Management, handover, resumes and filing
br VIP Amenity Management (VIP Cards, Order forms and communication with Famp;B and FO) Create gift bags for guest traces
br Collateral management (Give Away, Gifts, Gift Certificates, Vouchers, Preparation for sales blitz, flyers, hotel brochures, rack cards, breakfast vouchers etc.)
br Account Service and Management: Maintains well documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management in order to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.
br Daily tracking sheets management (Logs for production, rates etc)
br Develops strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
br Work with sales personnel to achieve required sales team goals.
br Have current knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts and promotions.
br Assist with completing any required sales reports.
br Develop and effective communication and information system with the hotel team to disseminate details of upcoming group, meeting events and special events in the primary marketing area.
br Assist hotel with implementing hotel specific selling strategies. (Meeting minutes at Sales Meeting and Sell Strategy Meetings)
br Promptly, the same day or by 10am the next business day, follows-up on all customers needs and inquires in an efficient and expedient manner.
br Represents themselves and the hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service focused approach and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.
br Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communication with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel.
br Display a neat, clean and business-like appearance at all times.
br Performs other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management.
br Associates are required to comply with Sage dress policy and standards.
