Job Purpose:

A Telesales position in which the candidate will be responsible for full cycle sales including maximizing business with existing and new customers within a pre-defined territory. In this position the candidate will use the telephone and other electronic mediums as the primary means of communication with travel being only supplementary.
Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and develop key relationships with customer group

* Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by personal visits, email, telephone and other means as necessary

* Make product presentations with the constant and continuous intent of closing orders

* Support customers with job submittal and planning in order to add value and promote products

* Participate in marketing promotions by attending trade events, following up on promotional campaigns and leveraging all marketing collateral in daily sales activities

* Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills

* Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions as necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development

* Help carry out market research, competitor analysis and voice of customer collection

* Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal order processing and management staff

* Other as needed and directed by leadership





Territory and Opportunity:
The Sales Representative, Valves and Actuators position provides the sales rep with a unique opportunity to be a product knowledge expert in a product category that has high revenue and impact potential for the overall Schneider North American sales force. This position will become a trusted ally for the larger organization and represent a product category that can significantly move the needle of results for both revenue and profit goals. With the support of the larger organizations many collaborative promotional campaigns and messages can be leveraged to attain personal goals and success. Primarily not a traveling role, you will reach out to customers primarily using the telephone and other electronic means.

Personality Profile:
Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business growth. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in persuasively managing business relationships. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Well presented and businesslike. Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel up to approximately 20%. Open to new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.

Business and Selling Skills:
Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts customers and delivering sales growth. Ideal background would be in sales or business development roles. References may be requested.
