Job Description:

The Sales Support Specialist will be involved with field and office work related to the support of the Hillyard Minneapolis and Eau Claire Sales forces. We are looking for a highly energetic individual with the ability to support our Sales force, customers and internal employees. This position has growth potential, and is intended to lead to a more formal sales position within the branch. Essential Functions Learn all aspects of being a Hillyard Account Manager and a Facilities Cleaning Expert Project Deliverables include, but are not limited to: Work in support of sales team with product and equipment demos and floor applications as required. Assist in presenting CCAP to customers, participate in the count and measure activities of buildings and make recommendations to customers. Install paper towel, toilet tissue, soap and chemical dispensers at customer locations. Move and distribute dispensers around customer site as required. Use a drill and other assorted tools to install dispensers at customer facilities. Create presentations for use in Sales meetings and for customer training. As required, work with Operations Manager on special projects to support customer needs. Ability to assist team with any required work activities that arise while working on projects. Learn installation, chemical applications and dispenser repair procedures on laundry/ware-wash systems. Other duties assigned by Sales Manager. Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be a self-starter, organized and be able to multi-task well. Must be comfortable operating a service van with trailer for transporting cleaning equipment and other possible supplies Comfortable with public speaking. Maintain a working knowledge of all software programs required in the performance of the job including but not limited to; CCAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc. Must be able to pass a post-offer physical, background check and drug screen. Education/Experience Required 2-4 years Sales / Customer support experience preferred. Bachelors degree is preferred. Other Information The position will be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota but will require some travel to Wisconsin. A personal vehicle is required. Physical Demands The Sales Trainee's physical job demands include maximum occasional lift of 51 lbs from floor to self-selected height; maximum occasional carry of 51 lbs for 250 ft; maximum occasional horizontal push/pull force of 50 lbs for 250 ft; maximum occasional vertical push/pull force of 60 lbs; frequent forward reach of 30 inches; frequent lateral reach of 24 inches; occasional reach overhead of 75 inches; frequent bend; occasional crouch and kneel; occasional neck flexion; occasional neck rotation; occasional trunk rotation; occasional foot coordination; frequent hand coordination; occasional fine motor coordination; occasional balance; frequent sitting; frequent standing; and frequent walking. PDC Level: HEAVY Additional Information: Physical demands of Sales Trainee may change daily depending on delivery of product to customers, product demonstration, and type of vehicle driven.
