What you get to do: Be the Lead Sales and Service Manager for all incoming hotel groups by executing successfully all pre-arrival detailing, including client transition from group sales to hotel operations, executing the rooming list, preplan billing arrangement and in general be the primary point contact for all Mason and Rook Groups. In addition, provide a high level of Direct Sales exposure to select group market segments, including contract execution as assigned by the Area Director of Sales and Marketing. Your day-to-day: * Coordinate and service all Groups as assigned by the Area and City Sales Team. * Coordinate rooming list, monitoring of cut-off dates, executing advance payment policies, and in general be the primary point person between client and the Hotel. * Organize the weekly Resume meeting. * Coordinates meetings, conferences, exhibit shows or other special events and activities with accuracy and detailed communication outlines for the client and hotel departments, providing the appropriate memos, Banquet Event Orders, Group Profiles and other communications as necessary. * Coordinates menu arrangements for conference clients that maximize the revenue potential for the hotel, while serving the needs of the client. * Conduct hotel site tours when required. * Schedule appropriate interdepartmental meetings. * Execute commission payments on departed groups. * Collect necessary attrition from groups when appropriate. * Be responsible towards direct sales, including prospecting, site tours, sales blitzes, client entertaining, and all generated sales activity for assigned markets. * Develop and continually enhance relationships with key accounts, to maintain high visibility and increase market share. * Successfully and consistently achieve minimum weekly sales activity requirements. Track all weekly sales activities including goal-to-current production status using Delphi. * When appropriate conduct telephone prospect calling. * Conduct Site Inspections. * Negotiate and execute Contracts that are fair and profitable. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
