Advanced Technical Sales/Sales Representative
Be a part of the world s largest and most innovative laser company by serving as the first point of contact for customers requiring new lasers for their cutting-edge applications. You ll be working with our sales, marketing and R&D groups to qualify potential customers and to determine which of our lasers Solid-state, ultrafast, pulsed, diode, CO2, Excimer, or Ion is the best solution. You will represent Coherent at tradeshows around the country and - when customers visit us you will coordinate and host visits as required by sales. You will also provide technical product training to newly hired national and international sales engineers and serve as the regional sales training expert. This position will enable you to develop an in-depth knowledge of Coherent products and ready you for a move into a field sales or product management position. This position requires a technical degree and is based in Santa Clara, California. A competitive relocation package is available.
Technical degree - BS or PhD in science preferred
Good understanding of laser and laser parameters
Good communication skills
Independent and motivated
Work from corporate office in Santa Clara, California
Basic computer skills
Enjoy working with people in a dynamic environment and helping find solutions
Education and Work Experience
Technical degree required - BS or PhD
Experience of 1 year or less ok with graduate degree
