Job Description

Role: We are looking for a senior Salesforce Platform Administrator and Developer who will provide technical strategy and direction to ensure that the Salesforce application is effectively implemented and managed across our Sales, Marketing, Technical Services and Support, Products, R&D, and Order Management Business Groups. The candidate will offer best practices and recommendations for process integration, application development, deployment and ongoing enhancements of the Salesforce Platform. The candidate would also have a proven track record of related experience to support and fulfill the strategic objectives of a highly cross-functional organization.
Job Description:

* Evaluate and propose how best to leverage technology to meet evolving business requirements and information needs both within and across functions

* Work effectively with key business stakeholders to identify and prioritize specific requirements

* Design and implement solutions (using industry standard best practices) with functions in the organization that utilize and access

* Plan and lead initiative to integrate to backend business systems to enable near real-time access to key performance metrics

* Provide global day-to-day end-user support (including system configuration, complex formulas and system maintenance) and assist users with proactive best practices to enhance and increase their knowledge of

* Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security)

* Hands-on experience in Mass Data Migrations using different data migration tools

* Experience in production deployment using ANT, IDE, etc.

* Experience to respond to production support requests and troubleshoot issues.

* Experience integrating the 3rd party Apps with Salesforce

* Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, custom workflow, and approval processes

* Perform data integrity and manipulation tasks such as merging duplicate records and establishing proper ownership of existing accounts and contacts in accordance with sales territories

* Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.

* Design, document, build, test and deploy enhancements to Salesforce custom objects, page layouts, workflows, alerts, reports and complex dashboards within Salesforce

* Research changes in upcoming versions of and other integrated applications

* Provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity

* Develop and maintain report folders, dashboards, etc. to improve system usability

* Maintain a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system to understand cross functional impacts with regard to configuration, process, workflow and reporting

* Lead with user requirement sessions and document user requirements to address changing business needs

* Develop and maintain Visual Force, AppExchanges, pages and integration to other third party solutions

* Ability to design, code, test, debug, package and deploy quality, scalable and well documented solutions on the Salesforce platform

* Ability to design and develop integrations between Salesforce and other applications / systems (including SAP)

* Successfully document / maintain documentation on application code, application use and flow and training materials

* Perform routine review of code, configuration, data, and usage to ensure long term viability, integrity, and adoption

* Make recommendations for enhancements and modifications to improve system performance, efficiency, internal business process, and reporting

* Ability to interact with senior members of management, including C-level executives

* Prepare and present clear business and technical analysis

* Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong work ethic

* Strong partnership with business leads to ensure they have the skills needed to train end users and support the business functionally

* Lead efforts to develop, train and expand use of to optimize productivity and effectiveness resulting in enhanced user knowledge and competency with

* Define, measure, and report on sales and business metrics

* Keeps management apprised of project status and keeps the continuous flow of information among all business stakeholders

Education & Experience:

* Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Business Administration or other related fields

* Expert-level understanding of (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Customer Portal, Communities, etc.)

* Administrator and/or Developer Certification

* 3-5 years professional business experience in staff or analytical environment required

* 4-5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer / Administrator

* Comfortable in preparing and presenting materials to executive leadership

* Project management and planning - Possesses strategic thinking combined with tactical project planning and management skills

* Keen attention to detail and complex problem solving abilities from an operational and technical perspective

* Experience documenting and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies

* Must be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations

* Requires strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

* Ability to work independently and engage manager as needed

* Use of Salesforce APIs (via Java, etc.) to integrate Salesforce with other tools

* Experience with migration tool desired

* Hands on experience with APEX and Visual Force development

* Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to clearly and simply articulate concepts, messages and strategies both cross functionally and vertically within the organization

* Ability to analyze disparate pieces of information, gathered from multiple data sources and put into an easy-to-understand structure using Microsoft Excel and/or an advanced database application

* Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

* Ability to translate customer requirements into specifications
