Saltwood, located inside the Loews Atlanta Hotel, is Midtowns newest small-plate-style restaurant. Named for its emphasis on salted, cured meats and classically rustic presentation on wood blocks, this casual eatery features a charcuterie station that serves as the restaurants centerpiece. Diners can pull up bar stools to sample house-made and locally sourced items and sip on handcrafted cocktails and local microbrews while watching the restaurants charcuterie chef hand-carve meats and assemble charcuterie plates. Executive chef Olivier Gaupin, a native of Orleans, France, borrows both from his European roots and a decade living in the American South, to bring a unique yet refined approach to local ingredients and cooking traditions. The 190-seat Saltwood, which includes the bar, restaurant, 20-seat patio, 125-seat private dining space, and chefs table, means diners can create their own unique experiences from intimate dinners for two to social gatherings around communal tables. For an authentic taste and feel of the Midtown Atlanta lifestyle, Saltwood is the place to be. Each Restaurant Server's primary objective is to provide a flawless experience and ensure guest loyalty. Servers will provide friendly, responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for all of our guests. More specifically, job duties include: Performs all opening and closing side work as prescribed. Ensures station is polished and set prior to service. Inform guests of menu though menu presentation. Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant/hotel functions and services. Completes end of shift revenue report and cash deposit. Enters orders into the point of sale system accurately and efficiently. Maintain clean service areas. Handles financial transactions accurately and in accordance with established procedures Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guest satisfaction with the food, beverage and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor. Be able to provide Wine and Beverage Service to standards set forth. Maintains daily inventory of FOH supplies, checks par levels, ensures mise en place is prepared and operational. Requires basic computer skills. Inspects and maintains daily cleanliness and organization of FOH Service Stations. Informs management of any out of stock items. Mark guests with proper silverware per course. Assists in putting away requisition daily. Handles guest requests promptly and efficiently. Be part of a team. Work together and be attentive to each others needs during the course of the service. Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know youre there to personally take care of them. Notifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance. Is polite, friendly and helpful to guests, management and fellow team members Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions. Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards. Complies with safety regulations and procedures. Complies with hotel policies and rules. Remains current with hotel information and changes. Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards. Completes any other duties as assigned.
