ARYZTA Americas operates one of the largest specialty bakery businesses servicing all major customers in the retail, foodservice, QSR and convenience store channels.
The Americas Structure includes five operating Business Units: Brazil, Canada, Brand, US Baking Solutions and US Consumer Foods, which are serviced by five Americas Central Support Functions covering areas such as Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Environmental Health & Safety, Sustainability, HR, Legal, IT, Finance Shared Services, Procurement, Category Management, and Commercialization.
JOB SUMMARY: Describe the overall purpose of the job and the contribution that is expected.
Responsible for cleaning/sanitizing of production equipment according to the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Describe the key responsibilities expected of your job, in priority order.
Maintains cleanliness, sanitation and upkeep of production equipment and production areas in accordance with Company and regulatory agency quality and food safety standards.
Efficiently disassembles and assembles production equipment for proper cleaning.
Adheres to all GMP guidelines in the performance of job.
Is aware of the chemical properties and proper use of cleaning solutions and applies knowledge in their proper use.
Keeps accurate cleaning records of equipment, areas in accordance with SSOP s.
Keeps chemical room orderly and clean at all times.
Ensures that chemicals are properly labeled and stored.
Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.

Education: Spanish/English literacy, elementary level
Experience: No experience necessary
License/Certification: GMP/HACCP Certification (in-house)
Work Environment: Climate controlled production environment; wet surfaces; over, under and inside industrial equipment; cleans on surfaces approximately 15 feet high
Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50 lbs; full range of motion both arms; ability to perform cleaning duties on top of machinery and scissor lift; able to crawl under equipment; bend; stoop; sweep; wipe and move repetitively for periods up to 30 minutes at a time.
Equipment Used on Job: Box cutter; Smock, hairnet, limited chemical exposure; air hose; hot water hose; floor cleaner; scissor lift; step ladder; shop-vac; sanitation tools; flashlight; testing kits.
Typical Work Schedule: Alternating schedule across 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift. Need to be open to weekends and holiday.
