Regeneron commercializes medicines for eye diseases, high LDL-cholesterol, and a rare inflammatory condition and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, pain, and infectious diseases. br / br / Summary: The Scientific Business Analyst (SBA) will work with Research Scientists and act as a liaison between IT and Research. The SBA interfaces between Research Systems Analysts, Programmers, Data Architects, Scientists, and IT Project Managers to ensure that information technology designs meet the needs of the end users and comply with the comprehensive Research-wide data management plan. The SBA develops user requirements and design plans that incorporate new system solutions into the overall Research systems architecture through documentation of scientific processes, data workflows, and product/service requirements. In addition, SBAs ensure that the solution meets the requirements of the Scientists by engaging the team in an iterative software development cycle. This position requires logical knowledge of existing system capabilities, business process analysis, and requirements documentation in a highly complex scientific environment. br / br / * Lead scientific-related business needs assessment, as well as facilitate the design, build and implementation of IT systems. Work with scientists and laboratory personnel to understand their business processes and suggest improvement opportunities to enhance end-user experience br / * Work closely with end-users and technical team members to translate high-level business and user requirements into functional and design specifications using structured business and technical analysis and data modeling techniques (e.g. activity diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, etc.) br / * Act as an expert technical and scientific resource to software development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process br / * Participate in user research, usability and acceptance testing br / * Proactively identify new and potentially beneficial external informatics solutions for unmet needs in Research and partner with the appropriate scientists to evaluate the utility of these solutions and their compatibility with the overall research strategy br / * Manage and prioritize the portfolio of IT projects across Research br / * Develop and maintain a knowledge of enterprise wide data management practices and principles with an added ability to develop a comprehensive data management plan for the enterprise br / * Follow the methodologies and standards for IT project management and implementation, which includes guidelines, procedures, standards, documentation, and monitoring for organizational compliance br / * Act as Business Relationship Manager for the specific research area(s) supported br / * Partner with research scientists and technical teams to understand and define system goals and technical system requirements br / * Understand system interdependencies and collaborate with project teams accordingly br / * Assist in evaluating cost-benefit and ROI analyses br / br / br /
