Responsible for identifying, implementing and supporting multiple clinical biomarker programs for pipeline molecules in oncology drug development. Responsibilities include working effectively with medical directors, clinical pharmacologists and nonclinical and discovery research scientists to ensure early definition of, and agreement on, biomarker needs for clinical development strategy; overseeing the development, and monitoring the quality assurance of, pharmacodynamic, pharmacogenomic and disease biomarker assays for use in company-sponsored clinical trials; overseeing the design and implementation of predictive biomarker research in clinical trials; maintaining extensive knowledge of the research and development efforts from academic institutions, competitor pharmaceutical companies, and fee-for-service bioanalytical companies for relevant oncology biomarkers; providing expertise in assay platforms, particularly IHC for oncology. REQUIREMENTS: Must have PhD in Doctoral degree (PhD) in the biological sciences, and 3 years of postdoc research experience using molecular and cellular biology techniques and performing immunohistochemistry. Must have some direct industry experience applying biomarker assays in both pre-clinical and clinical setting in support of oncology drug development programs, and working with protein homeostasis.
