JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB SUMMARY
The University of Kentucky, College of Pharmacy, is seeking a Scientist III to work in the lab of Dean Kip Guy.
This position will independently design, plan, perform, and analyze experiments as directed by the principal investigator. The initial projects will include discovery of novel inhibitors of the interaction of DCN1 and UBC12 and their validation for male contraception, metastatic cancer, and viral maturation. The candidate will also be expected to assist in the management of these projects and the development of new projects suitable to the goals of the laboratory.
Other duties include:
Analyze data generated by technical staff, trainees, and self and incorporate to the success/failure of goal achievement as they apply to specific projects and suggest alternative methods of studying various problems/unknowns; prepare data for oral and written presentations/reports for weekly group meetings as well as national and international meetings; prepare brief reports of ongoing projects to dissemination project findings in a variety of domains.
