JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB SUMMARY
The Department of Surgery, affiliated with the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky is immediately seeking a highly motivated individual (Scientist III position) to engage in a NIH funded translational research projects. Candidates should be highly motivated with outstanding training in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and the ability to validate novel therapeutic agents in monolayer cultures, human 3D cultures/organoids and orthotopic/subcutaneous and patient-derived xenograft models. Candidate must be reliable, have very high ethical standards and unparalleled integrity. Experience with statistical analyses of data, computers, and database applications (Microsoft excel, statistical analyses, imageJ, Living Image, etc.) preferred.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
Laboratory Management, Animal colony management, Elisa, Immunoblotting, flow cytometry.
