POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora and Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the DON, provides inscription support to BHS physicians to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient care notation. Responsible for integrating core measures (HBIPS) and maintaining a current knowledge of documentation practices. In providing support to the physician promote timeliness, completeness, and compliance with requirements from TMCA and Behavioral Health Division clinical quality departments and CPOE.

EDUCATION: Bachelor s degree in related medical field or completed nursing school program. Medical terminology course completed. Current enrollment on a MD, PA, or APN program desirable.
EXPERIENCE: Two to four years of directly related work experience in a progressive work environment.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high level of knowledge in medical terminology, diagnostic criteria, medication management, and patient information systems. A high degree of analytical ability and attention to details is needed. Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with all levels within the organization and outside agencies, referral sources and customers.
