We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Search Architect in our Glendale, CA offices. � RESPONSIBILITIES: AT&T Interactive is looking for a talented Search Architect to design next-generation local search applications. This is a hands-on architecture position. The Search Architect has a responsibility for ensuring the completeness (fitness-for-purpose) of the architecture, in terms of adequately addressing all the pertinent concerns of its stakeholders; and the integrity of the architecture, in terms of connecting all the various views to each other, satisfactorily reconciling the conflicting concerns of different stakeholders, and showing the trade- offs made in so doing (as between security and performance).Activities will span all phases of product development including

Requirements:
, architecture, design, release, and maintenance. REQUIREMENTS: - Define, analyze, and review software architecture and requirements for next generation search products. - Participate in definition, design, and review of software architecture, design, application frameworks, and interfaces. - Take ownership of technical solutions from the design and architecture through development and unit testing. - Document technical designs, using flow charts, data flow diagrams, database schemas, descriptive software component documentation, wireframes, etc. as required. - Lead development and implementation of framework and application software. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring to internal technology teams. - Help guide the technology direction. - Developing high quality software with predictable and repeatable processes. - Successful execution of projects within schedule goals. - Reuse of designs globally both as a contributor and as a beneficiary. - Critical to successful implementation of global products based on common platform - Critical to successful deployment of high quality and cost effective products - Key contributor to system architecture for current and future platforms and Products - Increase portfolio of Company1s intellectual property and patents. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required. MS/Phd a plus. - Experience in the fields related to text mining/information retrieval/search engines. - Experience of working with open-source technologies like SOLR, Lucene, Hadoop, Hive, Pig.
