Job Description

Nestle Waters North AmericaNestle Waters North America (NWNA) is currently seeking applicants for seasonal Forklift Operator assignments to be located in our Cabazon, CA facility. These temporary roles are needed beginning March 2012 and end around November 2012 depending on customer demand. Shift openings vary but are generally 12 hours in length and consist of a rotating schedule of 3 or 4 scheduled days/week, including every other weekend. Day shift run from 6AM- 2PM and night shifts run from 2PM-10PM and 10PM-6AM.This role pays $15.46 hourly rate. Night shift roles are eligible for off-shift differential pay of $0.25 for 2nd shift and $0.40 for 3rd shift per hour. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Safely operating a forklift to accurately and efficiently movement all finished product from production to the warehouse or onto trucks for shipment to customers.Inspects full goods and raw materials and conducts hourly quality checks to ensure quality product is sent to customersMeet or exceed Warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Accurately execute loading/unloading from pick tickets and line loading trailers when possiblePerform accurate bin transactions and inventory movements per SOPsWork as a team with production to ensure no line stoppages occurOperate Windows based computer systemPerforms routine and preventive maintenance and equipment changeovers on palletizersSupports continuous improvement initiativesPerform loading or palletizing responsibilities as neededKey qualifications include:High school diploma or equivalentPrior forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred with prior experience in manufacturing desiredExposure to warehouse inventory scanners and basic equipment maintenance preferredAbility to work self directed and with a teamSolid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team based environmentAbility to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plusFocus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgencyAbility to lift 50 lbs and get up and down a forklift frequently throughout the day Able to sit for long periods of time and drive backwards as neededPrerequisites:Applicants must be at least 18 years of ageMust be willing to accept seasonal/temporary assignment Able and willing to work 12 hour shifts including the potential for nights, weekends and holidaysMust be able to successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment physical, drug screen and background checkInterested individuals can find seasonal openings to review and apply online at http://www.careers.nestle-watersna.com/WhatWeDo/OurCareers/SeasonalOpportunities.aspxSeasonal assignments offer you the opportunity to test the waters and determine if this is the right job and company for you while offering you valuable work experience at a leading food & beverage manufacturer.
