Founded in 1971, Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) remains the nation s largest non-profit dialysis provider. With a team of approximately 5,000 talented and caring employees serving across the United States, DCI provides care to nearly 15,000 patients on dialysis and 3,500 patients with chronic kidney disease. The **Secretary** is part of the clinic's team performing numerous administrative responsibilities in support of clinical operations.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

+ Prepares outgoing mail. Distributes incoming mail and packages. Distribute inter-clinic mail.
+ Write up checks for deposit, take to bank, and forward documentation to A/R Coordinator and Bookkeeper.
+ Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes, and distribute to appropriate staff - for weekly and monthly meetings.
+ Ensure employees' License and CPR cards are current for all 7 facilities and acute units. Enter updated information in system as necessary.
+ Maintain current credentialing documentation on employees for 7 facilities and 2 acute units.
+ Enter new employee data, prepare orientation packets, prepare new employee education file.
+ Pull terminated employees' files and forward to payroll.
+ Provide back-up for the A/R Coordinator: scan and forward necessary patient insurance documentation to corporate insurance for verification; notify social worker of verification outcomes; transfer from e-mail all flowsheets and notify corporate biller; process the deposit checks.
+ Assist Nurse Manager, Administrator and clinical staff with administrative work as requested.
+ Order flowers for families of deceased patients and for employees ill or in hospital.
+ Send Christmas cards to all patients.
+ Annually, assist with Patient Appreciation/Memorial
+ Assist with other special projects as requested.
**Education and/or Experience:**
+ High school graduate
+ Minimum 2 years experience in a medical transcription and general office procedures
+ Must have a broad range of knowledge of medical terminology
+ Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Experience with operating the following office equipment: computer, copy machine, fax machine, scanner, postage machine
