GENERAL SUMMARY
The Secretary II Research provides general secretarial support to those principal investigators specifically designated by the CRI Administrative Director. Performs appointment scheduling, typing, filing, telephone answering, receptionist duties, and other secretarial duties as assigned. In addition they maintain scientific data records, publication files, and presentation materials in support of the research effort of the principal investigators. They also coordinate completion by deadlines for grant applications, manuscripts, abstracts papers and articles for publications and protocols and assist with the preparations and typing of grant applications, manuscripts, abstracts, papers and articles for publications and protocols.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum 55 wpm typing.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Working knowledge of general office equipment including typewriter, fax machine, copy machine, multiple line telephone system and transcription equipment.
Up to six months previous secretarial experience with medical and/or research work experience along with medical terminology highly desirable.
Basic accounting skills (reconciliation of statements, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, standing orders, etc.) and familiarity with spreadsheet programs - desirable.
