A blending of at least two (2) of the following position duties: CNA, Monitor Technician, and Unit Secretary. While fulfilling CNA responsibilities, the individual assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to patients within scope of practice, and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment. While fulfilling Monitor Technician responsibilities the individual monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac screen or telemetry monitors, and prepares and compiles records in the department. While fulfilling Unit Secretary responsibilities the individual transcribes physician orders from records with notation and signatures by nursing staff, prepares and compiles records in the department, and is responsible for the smooth operation of all secretarial functions on the unit.
While fulfilling the responsibilities of any of the roles, the individual meets the communication needs of the department and works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Current BCLS certification.
* Successful completion of basic arrhythmia course preferred (Monitor tech

* Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
