Job Description

Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center of West Virginia University, Department of Medicine is seeking applications for the position of Chief, Section of Digestive Diseases. Applicants must be board certified in Gastroenterology. Preference will be given to applicants with established evidence of academic andor administrative achievements. State of the art endoscopy center with a suite for ERCPs and adjacent clinics and office space currently exist. Candidates interested in basic or clinical research in gastroenterology or hepatology are encouraged to apply. Those with research credentials will be eligible for appointment and resources in the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Faculty members within the Department of Medicine are affiliated with West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc. The Clinical Enterprise at WVU provides Faculty the benefits of practicing at a level 1 trauma center and the premier tertiary, referral center for the state of West Virginia. Rewards from such affiliation, along with cutting-edge technology and a collaborative academic atmosphere, are conducive to professional growth. The Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center has a full complement of academic programs in the clinical and basic sciences.
