Security Engineer - ReqCode 658

Dow Corning's Global Information Technology organization seeks an Information Security Engineer to perform security design, updates and review for our global infrastructure. In this role, you will be part of a team of nine security professionals who are responsible for the corporation's overall security strategy and driving security best practices.

As a Network Information Security Engineer you will contribute to all facets of the overall information security strategy. This includes assurance of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Dow Corning systems and Intellectual Property. You will provide support and management of the Information Security Risk Management process as well as provide management of the Service Provider (includes SAAS) Security Review process. In addition, you will partner with Infrastructure Architecture and Dow Corning leadership to review security risks.

As an Information Security Engineer you will review projects, identify security risks and make recommendations to eliminate risks as well as provide security design support for projects on an as needed basis. You will actively work to review Dow Corning systems to identify potential security risks, provide risk mitigation recommendations and monitor risks until mitigated.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
The Information Security Engineer will also be responsible for providing proactive security direction for Dow Corning Workstation and Server operating systems and applications. You will support the design of the overall Network Security strategy which includes firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, core switch/routers. You will be aware of and actively identify external security risks which may impact Dow Corning systems. Provide security related consulting to Dow Corning I.T. Server, Workstation, Network and Telecom Engineers. The selected candidate will perform or support Security Audits as needed as well as provide backup support to other information security team members.
