SERVICE AREA OVERVIEW
You don t have to be in direct patient care to work at Northside. Security Services allows you to work in a non-clinical setting, while still being part of an organization that really does care for people. We are a highly-trained and capable team that augments Northside Hospitals clinical care environments with safety and security. Our comprehensive scope of services includes card access, CCTV, key distribution, unlock assists, incident investigations, infant and patient protection and emergency management. Our officers are committed to providing compassionate crisis intervention, aggressive behavior control and loss prevention services.
The Manager of Security plans, organizes, manages and coordinates the security management elements of the hospital environment of care program, system wide (system includes Atlanta, Forsyth, Cherokee and subsequent off-site locations). Includes the JCAHO and other regulatory agency elements of performance. Assumes Security Director s role in the absence of Director. Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.
This integral position holds responsibility for the management of Environment of Care, Security and the Emergency Management plans. Be prepared to ensure regular meeting facilitation and interact with hospital administration, staff, peers and external agency representatives.
To be considered, you must possess a successful 5-10 year track record of leadership in environment of care, emergency management and security. Your background must also include knowledge of Joint Commission standards, CMS (Federal Medicare System) and life safety code.
The right candidate will also have a high energy level, exceptional interpersonal skills and 24/7 availability to respond to emergency situations.
Bachelor s degree or ten years of security/loss prevention experience. Five years prior supervisory experience with Hospital Security, Safety, Fire, Police, Military Police, Ambulance, EMT or similar occupation. Must demonstrate complete knowledge and application of Security, Safety or Law enforcement techniques and procedures. Must possess excellent public relations and customer service skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
