General Summary: Security officers must have the mental and physical ability to stand for long periods of time, do extensive walking and climbing stairs. Security officers must also be able to write reports in a neat an legible manner. Although officers are usually assigned to one shift, they must be available to work all three shifts when needed. They must posses good people skills and be able to deal courteously with the public on a daily basis. They must be able to perform their essential job functions, to include daily patrols and functions without bias or discrimination. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Minimum Requirements: Security officers must have at least a high school diploma, and one year experience as a security officer, fireman or policeman. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must be able to acquire a Special Police Officer Commission from the State of Maryland within one year of employment start date. Working Conditions: Must be able to work outside in all kinds of weather. Must also be able to work with many different people and cultures. May be exposed to contagious diseases as well as deceased persons. May have to investigate security events under trying conditions including more than one event at a time. Full-time Day shift
