Security Operations Analyst

This is a great opportunity for someone with exceptional network engineering skills and enjoys detective work through technology. This is currently a small department with opportunity for advancement and continual training in the field of Information Security.



Key Duties

*

Develop and manage Incident Response Program
*

Network forensics
*

Vulnerability/threat analysis and mitigation
*

Report writing
*

Perform network incident investigations, determining the cause of the security incident and preserving evidence for potential legal action.
*

Collaborate with other technical personnel and teams as needed
*

Initiate incident response plans and participate in overall response efforts
*

Ensure security monitoring compliance
*

Identify improvement opportunities and research solutions
*

Participate in implementation and management of LogRhythm SIEM system

You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Information Security.



Additional Skills

*

At least one major Information Security or IT professional certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, HISP, Microsoft, Cisco, etc).
*

Must be a strong analytical thinker with a natural ability to solve problems
*

Must be able to work in stressful or fast-paced situations
*

Advanced skills in network administration and problem diagnosis
*

Advanced knowledge of computer administration
*

Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
*

Experience with vulnerability detection, threat mitigation and SIEM technology
*

Knowledge of Networking protocols and technologies, e.g. TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, etc.





Preferred Qualifications


*

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
*

3-5 years working experience in information security
*

Experience with computer forensic tools and technologies.
*

Hands on experience with LogRhythm SIEM platform and Lancope Stealthwatch network intelligence technology.
*

White hat or ethical hacking experience/certifications.
*

Working knowledge and experience of Risk Analysis methods.
*

Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, Peoplesoft, Salesforce, etc)
*

Experience with security management frameworks, specifically ISO27001 and ISO27002.
*

Experience with reporting
*

Strong background as an IT generalist with extensive hands-on experience in a variety of technologies.



Other information:

*

Travel is not expected for this position, but may be required up to 5% of the time.
*

As with many other technology positions, after hours or weekend work may be required based on urgent situations or business need.
