Security Operations Analyst (Vulnerability Management)



This role will be within our Information Security Operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone with exceptional skills and enjoys detective work through technology.



Key Duties

*

Develop and manage Vulnerability Management Program.
*

Network forensics
*

Manage Vulnerability scanning tools, specifically Nexpose and Qualys.
*

Vulnerability/threat analysis and mitigation
*

Integrating systems & processes for automated remediation efforts.
*

Report & Metrics
*

Working with system owners to ensure vulnerabilities are mitigated in an acceptable timeframe.
*

Collaborate with other technical personnel and teams as needed
*

Work with outside providers that supply intelligence, including darkweb research and penetration testing.
*

Triage discovered vulnerabilities and report to senior management those which require immediate attention or pose substantial risk.
*

Writing formal Risk Assessments
*

Identify improvement opportunities and research solutions
*

Assist system owners with methods to mitigate vulnerabilities (when needed), and help develop patch schedules, maintenance windows, etc.
*

Assist IT with implementing a proper patch management policy and process for end user computing.
*

As part of the Security Operations team, assist with Incident Response as needed.

You must have two years experience in the field of Information Security.



Additional Skills

*

Working experience with Nexpose or Qualys
*

Must be a strong analytical thinker with a natural ability to solve problems
*

Must have good written and oral communication skills and be able to speak to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
*

Intermediate skills in network administration and problem diagnosis
*

Intermediate knowledge of computer/server/website administration
*

Ability to manage several tasks & projects simultaneously
*

Knowledge of Networking protocols and technologies, e.g. TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, etc.





Preferred Qualifications



*

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
*

3-5 years working experience in information security
*

-At least one major Information Security professional certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, HISP, etc).
*

White hat or ethical hacking experience/certifications.
*

Working knowledge and experience of Risk Analysis methods.
*

Knowledge of web server technologies and firewalls.
*

Experience with security management frameworks, specifically ISO27001 and ISO27002.
*

Experience with reporting
*

Strong background as an IT generalist with extensive hands-on experience in a variety of technologies.



Other information

*

Travel is not expected for this position, but may be required up to 5% of the time.
*

As with many other technology positions, after hours or weekend work may be required based on urgent situations or business needs.
